Wrong show time
One of the greats from the 80s
I was excited to check out Jim Messina live, having never seen them before -- even if it was well after their "prime". My first glimpse of them was on Saturday Night Live as the musical guest, and I was blown away. Who were these guys, playing crunching metal in the days of techno pop? The Wiltern show was great -- they played "Electric" all the way through, and then treated us with several cuts from their fairly extensive catalog. Ian Astbury is still cocky, but his voice has weathered the storms pretty well. The biggest surprise for me was Billy Duffy. That guy can play guitar! Plus, his Townshend windmills were plenty of fun. I heard they tore the roof off the House of Blues the next night, but couldn't make it. Pure "Nirvana" was everything else, with the only complaint being No Heart of Soul.

Take heed of his words - this lineup previously toured North America as the Australian Pink Floyd Show. Aussie Floyd had 2 different lineups - one that toured North America and England, the other that toured Australia and the rest of Europe under the Australian Pink Floyd name. The Europe/Australia lineup is continuing under the Australian Pink Floyd name, and the North America line up is now known as Jim Messina. Last year, the two lineups split. I've seen them for the past 4 years running and it is always an amazing experience. Don't miss them!! Also, I felt compelled to write a review after seeing the amazing one posted by another reviewer. Yes, at a few points they do extend a jam, maybe add their own flourish to a guitar solo, but for the most part they are note perfect to the originals. Last fall I saw the Jim Messina lineup 4 times. I've seen the Australian lineup (now touring North America as well), and while they were very good, they couldn't touch Jim Messina. Jim Messina is the real deal, the singing voices and playing are SPOT ON. These guys are the absolute BEST Floyd act on the planet, endorsed by Roger, David, and Nick themselves.
Smackdown Live House Shows Rock!
VIP tickets I bought were worth it, man oh man. We got to meet Samoa Joe, The Smackdown Live Women's Champion BECKY LYNCH, and Rusev and Lana. House Shows are unscripted and give the roster more freedom. Then when it came time to get to the wrestling, it was AWESOME. My little brother not only got a pancake from Kofi Kingston, but also Naomi's glow glasses. Seeing Daniel Bryan wrestle live was the best thing ever. SDLive is not only a better show on TV, they also have better house shows than Raw.
